DIY Foundation

So it’s getting around to that time where everything runs out at same time, first hand Cream now my foundation and mascara.
While I am still looking into a safe way to make your own mascara I have come up with my own foundation! I am so excited because this worked perfectly and the coverage is buildable.
I hate powder foundation, it leaves my skin looking dry and I hate the way it looks on my face. A while back I went to an event and bought some mineral powder, I had heard this brand was good so I thought I would try it out.. And I hated it just like every other mineral foundation I have tried, I don’t know why I thought it would be any different! But since I am out of foundation and that’s all I have left I needed to make it work for me.
As you would have seen from my last post I made some body butter, well all you need to do if whip up some body butter and add your mineral powdered foundation to make a creamy mouse foundation. If you do not have a mineral foundation you can purchase pigments online to customise your own colour.
I love this foundation! Yes it’s oily and you HAVE to set it with a translucent powder or powder of your choice but once it has set it will look flawless.

There are two ways to do this.  IMG_1556

1 once the oils are melted you can add in your powder and then let cool, once cooled you can whip it up as normal.

2 get the body butter you made put a little bit in a jar, add enough powder for one application  – the more powder the heavier the coverage.
You can also mix this in your hands as it is a one time thing and follow up the next time doing the same thing.
If it is to oily you can add an organic cornstarch/cornflour ass this will help absorb some of the oil.
This may not be for everyone, and please do a patch test on your wrist in case you are allergic to any of the ingredients.

For the sake of the DIY here are some before and afters!
